BTW intentionally maintains a mix of foundation and nonprofit clients. We believe that we bring sharper awareness and greater insight into our work because of this combination of experience.

Our history and familiarity with philanthropy, its institutions and networks, its leaders and its current concerns enable us to work quickly and deeply in partnership with our foundation clients.

Our work on behalf of nonprofit organizations deepens our understanding of the perspectives and needs of both sides of the funder/grantee relationship.

As staff support for affinity groups, BTW has navigated a wide territory of philanthropy. Other projects in philanthropy have required focused work in nonprofit organizational capacity, grant program assessments, foundation organizational learning, donor education and high-engagement philanthropy.
