Ilana gathers and synthesizes information for a number of complex, multi-year BTW evaluations, with an emphasis in education. She devises and conducts BTW research studies, analyzing data and creating reports to help organizations make information-based policy and program decisions. She is currently a member of the David & Lucile Packard and Jim Joseph Foundation project teams.
Prior to joining BTW, Ilana worked at Deloitte Consulting (formerly BearingPoint, Inc.), where she supported organizational and business process improvement efforts at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She also provided logistical coordination, financial management, audit preparation and administrative oversight for multiple USAID and World Bank projects.
Ilana is actively involved in efforts to improve opportunities for students in underserved neighborhoods. She has volunteered as a mentor and tutor for students in high-need communities and works as a selector for The New Teacher Project. She recently completed the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Glass Leadership Institute.
Ilana holds an MA in International Education Development from Columbia University’s Teachers College and a BBA from Emory University.
