Kris manages complex, multi-year applied research and evaluation projects for which she applies a keen eye to task and budget management and overall quality assurance. She frequently serves as the key client liaison on her projects and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work of her project teams as well as supervising project staff. As a Senior Associate, Kris develops evaluation instruments, conducts interviews, leads quantitative and qualitative analysis efforts, and prepares a variety of different types of reports for research and evaluation projects.
Prior to her work at BTW, Kris worked on program evaluations, training manuals, policy initiatives, survey research projects and program plans for community agencies. She worked at the Hawaii Outcomes Institute, writing comprehensive state and county health status profiles. At the Center for Community Wellness (now Health Research for Action), she evaluated data for an after-school program.
Kris’s areas of research and evaluation experience include community clinics, health, workforce development, leadership and social outcomes measurement. She also has considerable direct-service experience, including reproductive health education, counseling, psychosocial assessments and case management. She is proficient in Spanish.
Kris holds an MA in Social Welfare and Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
