Naomi Orensten, Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, Naomi is responsible for making significant, targeted contributions to the design, development and execution of qualitative and quantitative applied research and evaluation projects. Naomi’s role at BTW includes developing quantitative and qualitative data-collection instruments as well as collecting and analyzing data used in research and evaluation reports.

Prior to joining BTW, Naomi worked on project management across functions including grants management, strategic planning and staff training. She brings considerable experience and knowledge in the fields of nonprofit management, education policy, service learning and civic education, the North American Jewish Community and Israeli society. Naomi is fluent in Hebrew.

Naomi served for several years in the Israel office of The Jewish Federations of North America. Previously she consulted with The Harpswell Foundation in Cambodia, conducted an evaluation program at The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and worked at The Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations. Naomi currently chairs the Grantmaking Committee and serves on the board of HEKDESH, the giving circle for alumni of the Dorot Fellowship in Israel and is a member of The New Israel Fund’s New Generations Leadership Council.

Naomi holds an Ed.M in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Brandeis University.
